In 2009, MC Construction completed the first home in Washington State to be certified under the National Green Building Standard™ (NGBS), developed by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
NGBS, the first program to meet the rigorous standards set by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), is a consistent, verifiable third-party rating system for green certification. In addition to achieving NGBS certification, the Jans home in south Seattle is also certified by the ENERGY STAR® and Built Green® of King and Snohomish County MBA programs.

Julie McBride, vice president and co-founder of MC Construction, recently
completed two years of service as Committee Chair for Olympia’s Built
Green program. Currently she is a member of the Steering Committees for
