The World Trade Center Tacoma has announced the winners of the 21st annual Globe Awards.
The selected businesses will be recognized at a celebration Thursday, Oct. 2, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Hotel Murano in downtown Tacoma.

The Globe winners for 2014 are:
Emerging Business of the Year: Vose Technical Systems, Inc., a female-owned small business headquartered in Tacoma with a presence in six states and three countries — Russia, Turkey and Ukraine. The company acquires and maintains “foreign materiel” and specializes “in the support of former Soviet/Russian military equipment,” according to a WTC release. The firm also maintains and operates U.S. and NATO equipment, and is a registered with the U.S. State Department.
Service Provider of the Year: Desh International Law, PLLC, a business and international law firm “that believes in companies who aspire to change the world,” according to WTC.
Innovation in Foreign Direct Investment: Point Ruston Development with MC Construction. MC Construction, the Point Ruston developer, is a development and design-and-build firm known, according to WTC, “for outstanding customer service, innovative floor plans and elegant finishes.”
Excellence in Trade: Northwest Container Services, a division of Waste Connections, Inc. salutes Waste Connections as an “integrated solid-waste services company that provides solid-waste collection, transfer, disposal and recycling services.”
